It was going well
schade das die Eva Marold da nicht dabei ist.
I would love to be there.
haste to the wedding is first tune/Leslie Hornpipe second/ German Beau is third tune/
By the way, who the hell said IRISH people are ugly. 🇨🇮 Your very VERY wrong. Don’t be such a meany, you probably have NO friends, I’m not surprised AT ALL
Great dancers, keep up the good work. Really lovely .
What is the name of the tune/music used for Siege of Ennis?
Corrofin plain set
Great dance! Can you tell me the name of the song? Thanks!
Earb!!! <3
I found out that in the south part of Austria which borders Croatia there are still some Croations living there.
Croatia don't borders with austria🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Found out in south Austria there are still some Croations living there.
Nice...yes that is Croation...I was surprised to see it in Austria....Upper part of Yugoslvavia & Hungary was owned by Austria long ago when Franz Josef was king...
great music - perhaps 4 year since a previous comment but this is very good
Waltz Cotillion. Dnce we did on January 27 2013
Mick is the first dancer, then Pat
"Ptice poju rože cvatu" or "Jutro rano sam se ja stao"
VERY WELL DANCED AND GOOD MUSIC ,LIVELY Y,NOT MANY D THE 8 HAND REEL,,ANTON
@CEILIMAN ...their double figure of eight does go the same way as the gents. I admit I've only watched one repeat of it but they didn't get it wrong the first time so I don't see why they would in subsequent repeats.
Absolutely beautiful. I could watch it again and again. I would love to take part in a dance group like this.
@Cuchullain10 Sorry so late back Tell your instructor to read the Ceili book AR Rinnce Foirne, the double figure o 8 is the same as the mens single 8`s,mind you he is not the only one to get it wrong.the main thing is You are All dancing "Real Ceili .We need to keep Ceili alive,,"plenty Sets not enough CeiliAnton
@WOLFGANGER666 Masz racje! Moja zona jest polka Pozdrowienia z Wiednia! Michael
@terrygrif Thanks 4 your nice comment; It's mainly my aim to show interested people how to dance Irish Set. (I know, our group doesn't dance very good) Regards from Vienna, Michael
@queenievenus You do not have to dress formally for a Ceili it is all informal just come as you are and enjoy the event, that`s what Ceili dancing is about. We are @the Irish centre Camden Town on sunday nights ,open to all ages and Nationals,8pm sharp for tuition in basic foot work and dance,Anton
@onlyclow :( Had no time :(. Surely the batteries fainted or the card was full
@CEILIMAN Thanks 4 the comment; I know, something may be wrong @ the figure of 8 but our choreographer pretends to know all about irish dancing and doesn't allow any discussion. Keep on dancing, best wishes, Michael ♪♪♫♫♪♪
Love the danceand danced nicely,,useful when short in numbers ,I think the doble figure of is 8 incorrect and i supposed to be as the mens figureof !8, I nottice other do it the same as you Just a point ,does not take away fro the dance just unusual,Anton Irish Centre Centre Sunday nights i Camden town Tryin to revive Ceili in london
@CEILIMAN I'm sorry that I've triggered a discussion about Irish Dancing, Ceili Dancing and so on. Before I forget, I'd strongly recommend to read the books of Dr. John Cullinane, AFAIK (former) member of the "Irish Dance Comission", especially his book "Aspects of the History of Irish Ceili Dancing 1897-1997". Maybe we are talking about "Ceili" and "Fior Ceili" (as you mentioned a month before)? AFAIK in Ireland most of the dancing events are announced as ceili, sometimes "gathering". Yours,
@Cuchullain10 ,,,,Somebody, has got it wrong,, it is the Set dancing that is not of pure irish,,You will get a lot more info if you google Irish dancing.. Why do Set Dance groups Feel the need to advertise their events as setdance/Ceili if they have no love of the Ceili,,Anton Coyle
WE AT THE IRISH CENTRE ON SUNDAY NIGHTS IN CAMDEN TOWN RUN ,"REALCEILI",,TO IDENTIFY FROM SETDANCE AS THEY ADVERTISE THEIR EVENTS AS CEILI,WHY I DONT KNOW AS THEY DO NOT WANT CEILIDANCE .?WHY USE IT. WE SET UP TO PROMOTE "CEILIDANCE" AS IT IS ALL BUT DEAD OVER HERE,,SADLY THE IRISH DANCE COMMISSION DOES LITTLE TO PROMOTE IT,AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO,,MORE INTERESED IN "CASH""SADLY,,,WE MUST SAVE THE ""CEILI"WE CANNOT LET IT DIE IN FAVOUR OF THE SETDANCES,,THERE IS ROOM FOR BOTH TO COEXIST,ANTON
@Cuchullain10 HI AS YOU MAY KNOW I AM A CEILI PERSON IN THAT I LIKE AND ORGANISE ""REAL CEILI" IN LONDON AT THE IRISH CNTRE CAMDEN TOWN ON SUNDAY NIGHTS,,I USE THE WORD ""REALCEILI TO DISTINGUISH FROM THE THE SETDANCE FRATERNITY WHO SADLY ADVERTISE THEIR EVENTS AS CEILI,WHEN IN FACT THEY ARE SET DANCE NIGHTS AND IT IS MISLEADING FOR THE CEILIGOER". WHY THEY SHOULD USE IT I DO NOT KNOW,IT IS FALSE.,THEY DO NOT LIKE CEILI SO WHY USE TE NAME"",,,WE AT THE CENTRE WILL HAVE SETS"IF REQUESTED,
@CEILIMAN Hi, Anton! Unfortunately you found the "rehearsal" version. In the meantime I prefer the social sets, because- as I have learnt- a lot of the Ceili-Dances were/are not pure irish, but composed from necessity, since the church & the dancing comission had destroyed the old dances. Source: John Cullinane, Irish Ceili dancing. You may read a wee on my homepage (GOOGLE-translation is possible)
nicely danced ,great to see ceili dancing been done in other countries when it is all but dead in ireland,,well done,,,lets hope others will follow,,anton coyle irish centre camden town "ceili on sunday nights trying to keep ceili alive in london
Eine Patriarchatdiskussion mit Merkelhintergrund ... dem wird Pispers mit seiner Aussage wohl nicht ganz gerecht, denn die deckt dieses "Paradoxon" nicht vollständig ab ;)
@mgleblanc1127 :) THXS; I've been to Cape Breton in 2006 & tried to learn the CB-Steps. Love from Austria, Michael
Very nice dancing, and all the way from Austria. We love dancing square sets here too in beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia Canada. Thanks for sharing !
@paganspixie :-)) thanks!
I'm dancing irish too, and it looks VERY good how they are dancing
@tls2971 Thanks 4 your nice comment. It was my aim 2 show the general movements of irish dances because as a non-irish person it's very difficult to dechiffre the ARF or other books. But don't notice our steps! They are terrible! Regards from Austria! Michael
Yes, you r right! You may use this vid as a "bad example" ;-)
Thanks 4 your comment! Please c my comment 4 the video. Happy St. Pat's Day!
Vienna
where were u off 2 ?
Thanks for your comment. I'd like to dance like this red top(ped)-lady ;-) Luckily I danced another set with the blue top lady Greetings, Michael
Sorry, Clarebanner is (as usual ;)] absolutely right: 1.) "Toss the feathers" is a reel 2.) According to the sacred "Ar rinci foirne" the tunes are as I described. Thanks 4 your comment, anyway Michael
the first tune is toss the feathers
Sorry 4 being a bit rude :( I think I should stop taking my tablets :)
why, what's wrong with ceilis:(? yeah i do dance sets every once in a while if there's a chance to do so:)
Do you dance set, too? It's muuuuuch more fun, and interesting. I don't like this nationalist, artificial Ceili Dances
i love this one:)!!!
